The Test of Variables of Attention is an objective, computerized test of attention that assists in the screening, diagnosis, and treatment monitoring of attention disorders such as ADD and ADHD. By precisely measuring reaction times while playing a very simple computer game, and then comparing the results to a similar group of people without attention disorders, the T.O.V.A. provides additional objective data to help clinicians accurately diagnose whether or not someone has ADD/ADHD. It can also help determine the effectiveness and optimum dosage of ADD/ADHD medications. Note: Some insurance plans do not cover psychological testing. We can help find out if yours does. The Adolescent Counseling Center is located one block east of Washington Street on Van Buren Avenue, just a few blocks south of the train station in downtown Naperville, Illinois, right next to North Central College. We serve the entire DuPage County area, as well as Aurora, eastern Kane County, northeastern Kendall County, and northern Will County.  We are a participating provider in the BlueCross BlueShield, Magellan Health Services, UniCare, Corphealth, APS Healthcare and ValueOptions insurance networks, and we accept cash, check, Visa, MasterCard, Discover Card, and PayPal.  Our office hours are by appointment only, so call us today to schedule an appointment.

Important Information About The “All Kids” Program

In 2007, the State of Illinois' All Kids healthcare program did not include coverage for mental health counseling and therapy. In 2008, Springfield very wisely decided to include mental health coverage in All Kids. So to better serve the mental health needs of our service area, the Adolescent Counseling Center of DuPage, P.C has applied to join the All Kids provider network and is currently awaiting approval. Until then, we will treat All Kids clients for a discounted fee.
